Making your own pond involves finding pond supplies that work together to produce a healthy aquatic environment. The size and layout of your pond determine which pump you need, and the pump determines which filter and skimmer you need.
Once you have designed and sized your pond, it’s time to gather the right type and amount of pond supplies. Here is what you will need:

- Pond waterfall: A pond waterfall isn’t just for pleasing sights and soothing sounds. It also helps to aerate your pond, and a waterfall can prevent the surface of your pond from freezing in the winter.
- Tubing: Choose tubing that is the right size for your filters and pumps. Reinforced spiral tubing is flexible but won’t kink or collapse when it is buried.
