Head pressure is a force that a pump must overcome to push water out the end of a tubing run. To calculate head pressure you must take into account resistance of vertical lift, length of pipe, fittings, etc.

Vertical Lift - Enter the amount, in feet, of vertical lift from the water surface to the top of the waterfall or filter.

Length of Pipe - Enter the length, in feet, of pipe from the pump to the waterfall or filter.

Number of Bends - Enter the number of 90 degree fittings and Ts.

Number of Other Fittings - Enter the number of other fittings used.
